Richard Orlinski, the sculptor who breaks the rules: king of contemporary art!
For several years now, Richard Orlinski created his own universe with the animals that fascinated him: crocodiles, panthers, wolves, bears and kong all belong to his concept called "Born Wild".
His amazing and coloured works met with global success.
Highly influenced by Pop Art, the artist creates artworks linked with the fashion world (pairs of jeans, leather jackets and stilettos) and wildlife (the wolf, tiger, bear, Lion and T-rex).«I want my art to remain accessible to a large audience and I use to work a lot with young people. I wish to reach everyone», he explains.
He plays with the proportions of the animals and thus aims to enliven them with the strength, ferocity and power that characterize wild beasts.“I play with the shapes, I change them. I modify their forms according to my vision.”"I am always looking for perfection. I like when a sculpture is perfectly finished and completed".
Richard Orlinski never runs out of ideas and likes to be constantly creating. He uses different materials such as aluminum, resin, glass and bronze.Pop sculptures and graffiti-covered artworks have been added to his bestiary. These unique works inspired by the spirit of street art have a tremendous success.
Richard Orlinski is regularly solicited to participate in new projects and collaborations.
In 2017 he has worked with the French pastry chef Yann Couvreur for the Salon du chocolat but also with the fashion label The Kooples.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, the artist made an exclusive piece representing Mickey as the Sorcerer’s apprentice.
In a matter of a few years he has become one of the most popular French artists.Orlinski is ranked 121st on the world ranking of auctions distributed by Artprice.Art collectors around the world are fighting over the sculptures of Richard Orlinski.
